“Burn down your cities and leave our farms, and your cities will spring up again as if by magic; but destroy our farms and the grass will grow in the streets of every city in the country.” William Jennings Bryan

Whenever I had visited my parents at their home in northwestern Pa, I would always find time to wander through the farm fields that bordered their back yard. It’s been such a great place to find some quiet solitude, connect with nature, and recharge. I don’t know if I will get many more chances to walk those fields, as last weekend my sister, brothers, and I got together at the house to get it ready for sale. Fittingly, I walked out to the backyard on one of the last mornings that we were there together and was greeted by a sunrise such as I had never seen over those fields before.
